Innovint is a revolutionary web application designed to streamline winemaking operations. Serving over 600 U.S. wineries, Innovint provides wineries with the tools needed to better manage production, workflows, and operations. The company blends technology and winemaking expertise to create intuitive, innovative solutions that make the complex processes of winemaking easier to navigate.

The Objective
Innovint sought ongoing design help with their product design initiatives within the company. The goal was to improve the UX/UI of the platform by simplifying complex winemaking processes and translating them into beautiful, functional interfaces.We were tasked with creating digital mockups for desktop and mobile, with a focus on understanding the user’s needs and minimizing clicks to deliver a streamlined, intuitive experience.

The Challenge
Winemaking is an inherently complex process, and the challenge was to simplify this complexity into easy-to-use interfaces that addressed the needs of winemakers. Innovint’s team of winemakers often had specific, hands-on requests like "I need this button here to do this thing," but the challenge for the designer was to look beyond the surface and understand the root problem, proposing elegant solutions to streamline processes while minimizing unnecessary steps.

The Solution

• Worked closely with the internal winemaker team to understand their needs, workflows, and challenges in detail, ensuring the design solutions were aligned with real-world problems.
• Focused on the UX, working to simplify processes, reduce clicks, and create interfaces that distilled the core utility of each feature.
• Developed flow charts and product permutations to help clarify problems and design optimal solutions before moving on to digital mockups.
• Designed clean, modern digital mockups for desktop and mobile platforms, ensuring the design was not only functional but aesthetically pleasing and intuitive.
• Collaborated closely with the CTO and CEO to refine and iterate the designs, integrating feedback from internal winemakers to ensure the platform addressed both user needs and business goals.

The result was a streamlined, user-friendly platform that improved operational efficiency for wineries, helping winemakers better manage production workflows and achieve smoother operations. By focusing on the core utility of each feature and simplifying complex processes, Innovint’s platform became a more powerful tool for wineries, helping them run more efficiently while maintaining a focus on usability and design.
